If you are starting your first farm you likely do not have everything you need. To help you, below are two pieces of equipment you need to buy to make things go much smoother for you. 

Tractor

One of the main things you should purchase is a tractor. Before you do, consider what you will be using the tractor for as there are different sizes available. For example, if you plan to use a tractor to haul items a smaller tractor would work well for you. If you have a garden there are garden tractors that you can purchase. 

There are utility tractors that you can use for pully heavy items or for plowing fields. Consider the weight of items you need to pull so you purchase a tractor with the right type of engine. You can add implements to utility tractors, if need, such as hay cutters, tillers, or harvesters. 

Compact tractors are used in fruit yards and vineyards. This is because they are small and compact enough to easily drive between rows. These tractors are made in a way that you could sit and remove fruits that are hanging from trees. Compact tractors can save you money as they use less fuel than other types. 

If you plant crops, you should consider purchasing a row-crop tractor. You can use these tractors to do things like plowing, planting seeds, and leveling soil. You can add attachments to row crop tractors, and they are comfortable to drive. 

Utility Vehicle

A utility vehicle can come in handy. You can use these vehicles to take you to different areas of your farm. This is especially useful if you need to go to an area a truck or other vehicle would not fit in. You can attach different types of trailers to the utility vehicle if you need to carry more things with you, such as tools, bags of fertilizer, and more. Many of these vehicles have a cargo box attached to them to give you more space to carry things. 

These vehicles come with tires that are very rugged so you can drive them on just about any type of ground, such as gravel, uneven soil, and more. Utility vehicles are much less expensive when compared to a truck and they use less gas.
